Leslie and I have been in love a bit longer than the thirty one years we have been married. I met Leslie during the summer of ’70 while on break from college. We married six months later.
We went back to school, and I received my undergraduate degree the spring of ’72. After graduation I soon started work in the southeastern region office for an electronic corporation located in Atlanta, Georgia.
We began on a "fast track," so it did not take us long to start our family! We raised a daughter and a son, in that order. Our daughter, Heather, was born the winter of ’73, and our son, J., followed the spring of ’74.
We have called many southern cities home. Montgomery, Alabama has been the primary place of residence, which my twenty-six years of service with the State of Alabama attest to the fact. I retired as an intra and inter-net applications developer.
Leslie’s career has been entrenched for many years as a professional meeting planner. She has worked for a number of large organizations.
We purchased the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground in the western North Carolina mountains in the spring of 2002. The "motorcycle only" campground has been a great opportunity for Leslie and I to work together for the first time and it brings us in contact with others that love to ride motorcycles.
